Feasibility study for bringing logistics activities in-house

Context and objectives

As part of the development of its activities, and in support of its policy to optimize resources and processes, a major telecom player in Morocco engaged the firm Cost House to:

• Carry out a diagnosis of the current situation and a critical analysis of existing processes
• Propose scenarios for the evolution of the current situation
• Formalize and implement an action plan based on the chosen scenario

• Assessment of the maturity of the logistics function based on
  • The organization
  • Existing processes and their implementation in the field
  • The information system in place
  • Storage facilities
  • Management of the function
• Costing of current logistics
• Costing of options for insourcing or outsourcing logistics
• Proposal of scenarios for improving maturity and optimizing costs
• Formalization of an action plan based on the chosen scenario

Tools used : Microsoft Office – Warehouse modeling.
